DESCRIPTION

We’re looking for a seasoned Backend Java Developer with strong Technical Leadership experience to lead a highly technical Engineering Support Team (L2). This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of coding, incident management, and team guidance. What you'll do: Lead a team of L2 support engineers handling live customer incidents and production issues. Perform code triage, low/medium complexity fixes, and implement quick-win solutions. Escalate to product squads when needed, ensuring high-quality documentation. Drive incident management for critical issues (P1), coaching, 1:1s, and mentoring. Improve support processes, implement peer reviews & pair programming best practices. Monitor team KPIs and ensure SLA compliance with visibility reports and insights. Must-Have Skills: Solid experience in Java development in production environments. Previous experience in technical support (L2/L3), incident resolution & debugging. Strong leadership and communication abilities to guide technical teams. Familiarity with microservices, REST APIs & ticketing tools (Jira, Zendesk, ServiceNow). Ability to deep-dive into issues and propose systemic solutions. Hybrid availability (1–2 days onsite per week).
