WordPress Engineer

Humanitas IT is looking for a Sr. WordPress engineer who can support the development, maintenance, and administration of the website on the WordPress platform and other digital projects assigned to it. Work directly with internal clients, designers, brand strategists, and other developers to create beautiful, easy-to-use sites. Responsible for front-end and back-end development, including plugin and theme implementation. This position requires programming skills such as PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript. The ideal candidate must have: 3 years of experience in business environments using CSS, HTML, JavaScript. 5 years of experience in WordPress Development. Experience in agile environments. PHP. Good communication skills. Ability to turn wireframes into working HTML sites. Desirable: Plugin development experience Direct interaction with users. Knowledge of code version control tools, including Git, Mercurial, and SVN. Ability to manage projects. Functions to be performed: Website design and management, including database, server integration, content management, and security. Website monitoring, making sure they are online, properly working, and loading fast. Build new features and rework processes to increase efficiency and stability. Take deep dives into software problems, find root causes, and devise long-term solutions. Development and maintenance of plug-ins. Keep engineering manager updated on work progress, impediments, or risks. Analyze and estimate tickets, making sure about the manageability of the scope. Follow development standards, practices, and processes defined within the area and team. Make meetings with internal clients to discuss the design and function of the website.
